Get In By the Back Door

He also whispered to Xiao Chen that he would definitely win because he had told his father to get in by the back door……A child who is only 8 years old is aware of getting in by the back door. Xiao Shuang, son of Mr. Xue, is in grade 3 of primary school. Since he is short and has poor eyesight, he had been usually arranged to at the first two rows. One day, however, the teacher asked him to exchange the seat with a boy in the last row.

From then on, Xiao Shuang’s academic performance fell sharply because he could not often see clearly the words on the blackboard due to his short stature and poor eyesight. Mr. Xue went to ask the teacher to change his son back to the front rows. Though the teacher made a promise to do so, Xiao Shuang still sat at the last row after a week. Xiao Shuang said: “The boy was arranged to my previous seat after he had got in by the back door.” Hearing that, Mr. Xue gave 300 yuan to the teacher.

After giving 300 yuan, it was believed by Mr. Xue that the teacher would immediately change his son to the front rows. However, Xiao Shuang was only transferred from the last row to the last but one row. “My son told me he still could not see clearly the words on the blackboard. I had no choice.
